Ten members of volunteer staff have successfully completed a St John Ambulance Activity First Aid Course held at 418 (Aberconwy) Sqn's new training centre at Llandudno.

The trainer was Sqn Ldr Dave Hansen with assessments being undertaken by Flt Lt Sue Davies and ATC Sgt Gareth Culley, both of 2480 (Holywell) Sqn.

"This was the first course we have been able to run completely in house; No.2 Welsh Wing is now one of only a handful of Wings throughout the UK that have enough staff qualified to train and assess our adult staff” said Sqn Ldr Hansen.
"As well as learning First Aid or, for some, requalifying for Adventure Training purposes the candidates were given an insight to the training techniques used in order for them to train and assess at Cadet level."

"First aid is an important life skill for all and we are in a strong position to ensure every cadet has the opportunity to undertake some form of first aid course."
