Aircraft Recce Win for 1004 (Pontypridd) Sqn
1004 (Pontrypridd) Sqn Aircraft Recce winners
Five cadets from 1004 (Pontrypridd) Sqn and one from 2077 (Pontyclun) Squadron were the proud winners of the Aircraft Recognition competition at this year's Regional Field Training Day. (L-R) Instructor Cadet Flight Sergeant Tom Nation, Cadet Ellis Lewis, Cadet Corporal Ryan Humphries, Group Captain Dick Allen, Commandant Wales & West Region, Cadet Corporal Nathan Langman, Cadet James Cadreman - 2077 (Pontyclun) Squadron - and Instructor Cadet Flight Sergeant Ben Smith.

All six, from the No 1 Welsh Wing Squadron, have been chosen to represent Wales & West Region at the Corps Competition later in the year.

NATIONAL ARBORETUM SPECIAL VISIT FOR 1122 (Marmion) SQN
1122 (Marmion) Sqn at the British Berlin Airlift Memorial
1122 (Marmion) Squadron recently attended a special Service of Thanksgiving and Commemoration at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas. Invited by the British Berlin Airlift Association to mark the 60th Anniversary of the end of the Berlin Airlift, the squadron also helped with various duties including escorting VIPs during the day and meeting airlift veterans and senior officers from the Royal Air Force.
