Activities – Adventure Training

Adventure Training forms an essential part of the Air Cadet’s training syllabus. As well as helping cadets forge new friendships, adventure training enables all cadets to show off their leadership qualities.

There is a wide ranging Adventure Training syllabus in the ACO – depending on the squadron you attend, you could try your hand at watersports, skiing, mountain walking, canoeing and so the list goes on!

ATImage1Cadets within Wales and West Region are extremely fortunate, as they have both the Snowdonia and Brecon Beacons National Parks literally on their doorstep, as well as access to excellent rivers and lakes.

ATImage5All adults who supervise Adventure Training activities are well qualified, under the relevant National Governing Body (NGB) award requirements.

Adults who wish to train to become a supervisor in an adventurous activity have the opportunity to attend the Joint Services Adventure Training Centre at Llanrwst in North Wales, used by Service personnel, as well as members of the Air Cadets.
