During your time in Air Cadets, you will be offered the opportunity to fly in our primary flying trainer aircraft – the Grob Tutor.

All Air Cadet flying staff are volunteers, who are either current or former Service pilots.

Air Cadets may also have the opportunity to fly in Service or Civilian aircraft, sometimes in the capacity of supernumerary crew.

Specialist opportunities are also available, such as Paragliding and Parachuting, under instruction from Service personnel, as well as the chance to take part in a Flying Scholarship – enabling you to fly the aircraft, solo, at the age of 16 – before you can even learn to drive a car!
